The Arabic superstar Amr Diab swept the cassette and CD market, topping charts all over the Arab world and the Middle East. Rotana official radio announced early today, that the king of Middle Eastern music has sold 1.125.000 copies in five days, of his recent studio album "Wayah", right after the official release in the Gulf area, which came after the initial one on 27th June, 2009. The source said that Diab sold 800.000 copies in Egypt, 200.000 in Syria, 100.000 in Morocco and 25.000 in Lebanon, stating that Amr Diab has been so far the best selling album this year. It's worth to say that Rotana radio is affiliated to Rotana, Inc., the current record
